Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury met on Love Island in 2019 and have gone on to become one of the show’s most successful couples – but not without their ups and downs.
The pair, both 26, share their daughter Bambi, and in 2023, they became engaged with a gorgeous viral proposal that melted hearts.
However, in August 2024, Molly-Mae released a shock statement that informed her fans that their relationship was over.
‘Never in a million years did I think I’d ever have to write this,’ it began.
‘After five years of being together, I never imagined our story would end, especially not this way. I am extremely upset to announce that mine and Tommy’s relationship has come to an end.’

She continued: ‘I will forever be grateful for the most important thing to me now and always, my beautiful daughter. Without us there would be no her, she will always be my priority.
‘I want to thank you all for the love you have shown us over the last five years. You have all been a part of our journey and I feel it’s right to share this with you all.’
‘Whilst I attempt to navigate the coming days and weeks please kindly respect my privacy over this difficult time. I’ll be back when it feels right. Molly-Mae x.’
Later, Tommy explained it was his addiction to alcohol that led to their split in a candid interview, after which they reconciled and began sharing their relationship online again.
Boxer Tommy and influencer Molly-Mae were runners-up to Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea on the ITV2 dating show, making them now the only couple still together from that series.
What’s more, they’re now set to expand their little family, as baby number two is on the way.
From house moves and health scares to pregnancies, engagements and split rumours, let’s take a trip down memory lane with a timeline of their romance…
June 2019 – Love Island kicks off
Tommy was an original contestant on the 2019 series of Love Island, but bombshell Molly-Mae entered slightly later, on day four of the competition.
Molly-Mae whisked Tommy off to a hot tub date, and they instantly felt a spark.
They coupled up together the next day, but initially continued to explore other connections. However, they couldn’t deny their feelings for each other for very long and frequently declared their love for one another.
When Tommy came back alone from Casa Amor, it sparked a very emotional reunion between the pair and a moment that has gone down in Love Island history.
In another romantic gesture, Tommy asked Molly-Mae to be his girlfriend using her beloved childhood teddy – Ellie Belly.
He placed a note on top of the adorable cuddly toy, which read: ‘Dear Mummy… He wanted me to tell you that you are his everything, and I’m going to leave it with daddy so-‘ Tommy then made things official.
Despite their sweet declarations, the public wasn’t entirely convinced of Molly-Mae. She was even given the nickname Money-Mae with accusations that she was after the Fury cash fund.
July 2019 – Molly-Mae and Tommy finish runners-up on Love Island
Despite their rock-solid foundations and popularity, the duo narrowly missed out on taking the Love Island crown, finishing in second place instead.
The crown went to Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea, who had arrived in the villa just two weeks before, but they split five weeks later.
Following the show’s wrap, Molly and Tommy remained pretty quiet on social media, leading to rumours they had split, but the couple soon put people right and explained they were simply focusing on their relationship in the real world.
September 2019 – Molly-Mae and Tommy move in together
The couple didn’t waste any time once Love Island finished, with Tommy and Molly-Mae moving in together just over a month after they left the villa.
Their three-bedroom apartment in Manchester would be the first of several homes together in the area as they remained joined at the hip and ‘really happy’.
May 2020 – Mr Chai’s unfortunate death
On her 21st birthday, Tommy gifted Molly-Mae a pomeranian dog called Mr Chai, but just days later, their pet sadly passed away following a seizure and various health issues.
‘We’re not asking for any kind of sympathy. What’s happened is awful. I’m asking you to understand that the dog travelling from Russia is not the reason he died,’ she said on YouTube.
Later reflecting on the tragic situation, Molly-Mae told The Sun: ‘If we had our chance again, we wouldn’t have imported from Russia.
‘The autopsy results showed that his skull wasn’t fully developed, and he didn’t have a white blood cell left in his body.’
She added: ‘If we had the time again, we’d have a dog from the UK.’
October 2021 – £800,000 burglary
Molly-Mae and Tommy suffered a shock when their Cheshire home was targeted while they were away in London, with thieves making off with hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of their belongings.
Speaking directly to her followers in the aftermath of the ordeal, the influencer thanked them for their support after ‘an overwhelming week.’
‘I can’t thank you all enough for all your kind messages regarding what happened to our home last week,’ she began.
‘We are eternally grateful to have such incredible and kind followers.
‘We are safe and that’s all that matters.’
Ending on a positive note, the former reality star signed off with: ‘Onwards and upwards now…’ followed by a white heart emoji.
Molly-Mae and Tommy never returned to the flat after the break-in, with a source saying they were ‘devastated’ and ‘never’ wanted to go back there.
‘They had their remaining things that hadn’t been taken in the robbery moved out of the flat immediately.
‘They’re already moved out and won’t ever return as they don’t feel safe,’ the source shared.
January 2022 – New York trip sparks engagement rumours
Tommy whisked Molly-Mae off to New York for a surprise New Year’s trip to New York City on December 30.
And, naturally, fans became convinced Tommy was going to pop the question.
As the couple enjoyed their city break together, social media users started to think Molly-Mae was hiding her hand deliberately in snaps, but no news of an engagement surfaced.
February 2022 – Baby talk gets serious
In a Q&A on her YouTube channel in 2022, Molly-Mae revealed that she and Tommy talked about having children together ‘every day’.
‘I’m so excited to have babies and all the other stuff that comes for me and Tommy in the future, like I just cannot wait,’ she gushed.
‘I love my life with him so much now… the thought of it getting even better and having a miniature human that’s half of him and half of me, like what the hell?!’
The star, who has endometriosis, which can affect fertility, added that despite her young age, she feels ‘so ready for that chapter in my life’.
‘I keep having to tell myself “No, no, no, not yet!” because I know that life is gonna change so much when it happens and when we do eventually have children,’ she said.
‘But it is something that we just… we talk about it every day!’
She also caused a stir when she revealed that she and Tommy didn’t use contraception, and she had taken a pregnancy test after her period was four days late, as she was ‘literally never late on my period’.
March 2022 – They move into their dream home
After a lengthy three-year search, Molly-Mae and Tommy finally found their dream home together in March 2022.
Announcing their ‘new chapter’ with a few snaps on Instagram, Molly-Mae shared her joy at finally finding what they had been looking for.
She also launched an Instagram account named ‘Molly Maison’ to document their renovations of the building.
Explaining that she’d moved on from her fears of oversharing in the wake of the burglary, she continued: ‘I know a lot of you won’t have been expecting me to do a home account as I have become a lot more private about what I post of our home life… However having a home account is something that I’ve always dreamed of doing.
‘I’ve decided that I don’t want to let the past control my future, the way I live my life and what I share with you guys.’
April – May 2022 – Molly-Mae and Tommy tease wedding and children
The popular couple had all their fans on tenterhooks in the spring as they each made comments on the future of their relationship.
As Molly supported Tommy at a match at Wembley Stadium, the interviewer introduced her as ‘Mrs Fury’.
However, as he quickly corrected his mistake, Molly responded: ‘It’s fine, don’t worry.’
‘Maybe soon, hopefully,’ she then laughingly added, hinting over wedding bells on the horizon.
Tommy later told The Sun that he was hopeful of having four kids with his girlfriend, and sooner rather than later.
He revealed: ‘I want four kids but it’s Molly’s body and she’s the one who has to go through it – but I’ll be there with her every step of the way.
‘I’m a big family man and come from a big family too and it’s something we talk about a lot. I don’t think it’s in the far too distant future…’
June 2022 – Molly-Mae forced to deny rumours of split
Fans jumped the gun after discovering that Tommy had moved into a new pad in London this summer, following Molly-Mae visiting the stunning modern flat and joking on her Instagram: ‘Yeah I’ll be visiting a lot @tommyfury,’ while also sharing a photo of the athlete relaxing on his new bed.
It seems her followers were confused as to why they were suddenly living in separate homes and, thankfully, she later returned to clear up concerns.
‘Omg guys Tommys just training down in London. We haven’t split up, my dms are going mad,’ she wrote with a selfie.
September 2022 – The couple announce their pregnancy
Molly-Mae and Tommy delighted fans when they dropped news of her pregnancy in September 2022.
Attracting over one million likes within an hour of posting, their pregnancy reveal video also featured footage of the two of them during the Love Island final together, making their declarations, before it cut to them now and Molly displaying a small bump.
‘AND THERE WE GO IM CRYING AGAIN!!!!!!LOVE YOU SO SO MUCH ❤️❤️❤️,’ exclaimed Love Island co-star Maura Higgins in the comments, while Stacey Solomon wrote: ‘Congratulations this is amazing,’ alongside a chain of crying faces.
Molly-Mae got extremely candid about what it’s like to be the partner of a boxer ahead of his bout with Jake Paul, while pregnant with Bambi.
‘Other women have these dream pregnancies where they are always with their husband doing baby shopping and doing cute things, and like, me and Tommy literally just communicate through FaceTime at this point,’ she shared.
‘I think because he’s been away so much, I feel like he sometimes forgets. I have to remind him that I’m two months away from giving birth – you know, we’re going to have a child. I think he sometimes has to be reminded a little bit because he’s away in camp-land.’
January 2023 – Molly-Mae and Tommy welcome baby girl Bambi
Molly and Tommy expanded their family with the birth of their first daughter in January 2023.
They initially confirmed the birth with an Instagram post showing the pair in a hospital bed with their bundle of joy, alongside the caption ’23/01/23.’
It was a few weeks before Molly announced the name of their little girl, Bambi, after previously teasing she had chosen a ‘really, really unusual and a different name’.
March 2023 – Molly-Mae shares struggles with motherhood
Molly-Mae released a vlog two months after the birth of her daughter and was entirely honest about the difficult moments she’d experienced.
She shared she had been ‘overwhelmed’ every day since her birth, and while she was proud of being a ‘good mum,’ it’s also the hardest thing that’s happened to me.’
Talking about the struggles of parenting solo while Tommy was away for his boxing match in Saudi Arabia against Jake, Molly-Mae said the day he had returned home was ‘almost better than the day Bambi was born’ as she knew that their ‘journey as a family hadn’t started yet’ before then.
The new mum also admitted she felt ‘slightly traumatised’ from the first few weeks of being a parent and having to do it without Tommy.
Reflecting on his absence during an interview on Good Morning Britain, Tommy said: ‘I’ve been away from them for three months now, it’s hard on them.
‘I want to thank Molly for being a superstar mother, she’s honestly the best mother to Bambi.’
He concluded: ‘While I’ve been gone she just lets me solely concentrate on the boxing, no stress, and that’s the type of woman you need.’
July 2023 – Molly-Mae and Tommy engaged
Six months after the arrival of their baby girl, and three years after they met on Love Island, Tommy got down on one knee and asked Molly-Mae to be his wife. Naturally, she said yes.
The boxer surprised her with a trip abroad, which he said was for an event, but when she followed a trail of roses outside, she saw her boyfriend and daughter standing by the cliffs.
She took Bambi from Tommy, and he got down on one knee, with a sweet video of the moment making it to Instagram.
‘Forever. 23/07/23💍😭’, they captioned their Instagram post.
September 2023 – Molly-Mae and Tommy have different ideas about Bambi’s upbringing
Netflix series At Home With The Furys launched giving fans a glimpse into the life of boxer Tyson Fury – Tommy’s brother – and his family, including his wife Paris and their six (now seven) children.
The family, including Tommy, are from a Traveller background, where traditionally children are pulled out of school at a young age. It was revealed that Tyson’s oldest children, aged 13 and 11, would not be returning to school that term and would instead be homeschooled.
Tommy and Molly-Mae made appearances in the Netflix series, and at one point, Molly-Mae said she would prefer their daughter Bambi to attend school, but Tommy was leaning towards homeschooling.
‘I’ve been raised completely differently to that. It would never be a question that our children or child would not go to school,’ Molly-Mae said. ‘But hopefully, it won’t cause too many rifts.’
November 2023 – Rift rumours circulate as Tommy parties in Dubai while Molly-Mae removes engagement ring
Tommy jetted off to the UAE for the F1 Grand Prix in November 2023, where he was seen partying with Chris Brown and dancing with women in a nightclub.
A video of Tommy’s partying was shared across the internet as it showed one woman squeezing the boxer’s cheeks, though he appeared to shrug her off and look away.
At the same time Tommy was living it up in Dubai, Molly-Mae was at home in England with their daughter, taking her to a Christmas grotto.
In photos shared on Instagram, Molly-Mae cradled her daughter as they sat in a giant red sleigh with Christmas lights all around, and fans were quick to notice she wasn’t wearing her engagement ring.
The star did not address the speculation of a rift or split that immediately followed, but in the following days, she appeared in Instagram videos and photos – again without her ring.
August 2024 – Shock split
Just three weeks before their split, Molly-Mae marked their engagement anniversary with a sweet post on Instagram.
‘One year ago today I was tricked into going on a fake brand trip on which the love of my life would ask me to marry him,’ she penned.
The couple also celebrated their five-year anniversary during Molly-Mae’s sister Zoe’s wedding weekend. Her caption read: ‘A weekend of love… also celebrating half a decade of me and you.’
‘My everything in a photo,’ wrote Tommy, sharing a snap of him alongside Molly-Mae and Bambi.
Fans therefore were surprised when Molly-Mae revealed it was over on her Instagram stories.
Tommy released his own statement one hour later, which read: ‘I am heartbroken to share that Molly and I have decided to end our relationship.
‘The past 5 years have led to us having our beautiful baby girl, Bambi and I will be forever thankful to Molly for making me a dad. Bambi is our priority.
‘Please respect our privacy, and our family’s privacy, as we navigate our way through this difficult time.’
September 2024 – Navigating single life
After a brief social media break, Molly-Mae came back to the platforms earlier, admitting it was earlier than she may have liked but she had a new clothing business to launch – Maebe.
On her YouTube channel, Molly-Mae was honest about the more difficult aspects of this chapter.
‘The evenings during this period of time, I don’t enjoy at all,’ she confessed.
‘So I feel like it’s nice to do things that keep you preoccupied so that when you get into bed, you are literally just getting into bed to go to sleep.’
She hastened to add that she isn’t ‘avoiding going to bed’ as she understood ‘that’s not healthy’.
Tommy returned to Instagram and admitted it had been a ‘heartbreaking’ time.
In reference to speculation around whether Tommy had cheated, he continued: ‘The false allegations about me have been horrendous, thank you to everybody who has stood by me through this.’
Both kept quiet on the reason for their unexpected breakup, with Molly-Mae saying in an interview with Vogue that Tommy may speak about it in the future.
December 2024 – An NYE kiss
Four months after their announcement, the couple gave fans who want to see them reunite some hope.
The former couple were spotted kissing during a New Year’s Eve party thrown by Man United player Luke Shaw in Cheshire.
Footage from the Hogmanay-themed bash was shared online, and Molly-Mae gave insight into what happened in her new Prime Video docu-series Molly-Mae: Behind It All.
The trailer got people talking, too, as it featured mentions of their split. ‘All I ever wanted was to get married. Suddenly, overnight, every part of my life changed,’ she said in the trailer.
Adding: ‘The last couple months have been the worst couple months of my life.’
And in a scene from the show itself, she admitted she was ‘angry [with Tommy] and very hurt’.
The voiceover continued: ‘Sometimes it really hits you that I’m in this alone now,’ as we saw her getting emotional.
January 2025 – Tommy reveals the reason for the split
Tommy said an alcohol addiction is what led to his breakup with Molly-Mae.
In a new interview with Men’s Health, Tommy confessed his mental health had been ‘in the pan’ after his boxing injury put his career on hold.
He shared: ‘There’s been so much s**t in the papers every single day for the past six months: “Cheater, cheater, cheater; he slept with me; he slept with this girl”. Complete and utter b*****ks. And you can ask Molly herself’.
Tommy continued: ‘The reason why me and Molly broke up was because I got addicted to alcohol and I couldn’t be the partner that I wanted to be anymore.
‘It kills me to say it, [but] it’s true, I couldn’t. I loved a pint of beer, loved to drink, and it is what it is. People go through different things in life, and we all have our crosses to bear. I’ve got mine to bear.’
May 2025 – Molly-Mae confirms she and Tommy are officially back together
After a FaceTime call in her Amazon series, Molly-Mae told cameras that she and her ex were ‘seeing how it goes’ after spending more time together.
‘The version of who he is right now is one of the best I’ve seen,’ she said.
‘Maybe if this carries on, each day that goes past, the days turn into weeks, the weeks turn into months, and the next thing you know, we’ve had years go by of just having this consistent, amazing couple that I know we can be. That’s what I hope for.’
She and Bambi later moved into Tommy’s mansion in Cheshire, which was always intended to be their full family home.
June 2025 – Molly-Mae’s sister expresses concerns
Molly-Mae’s older sister, Zoe, made no secret of her feelings regarding her split from Tommy while appearing in the Amazon series.
She repeatedly expressed caution about their reunion, having moved in with Molly-Mae to look after Bambi ahead of getting the keys for her own new home with her husband.
Zoe was worried that things might go wrong for a second time, having seen the damage the split did the first time.
‘The rekindling of her relationship causes friction with her sister Zoe, who is concerned Molly may not be making wise decisions, and she’ll be left to pick up the pieces once again,’ a synopsis for Part 2 of the series also read.
Late 2025 – Molly-Mae admits ‘trauma’ from split
Despite being formally back on, Molly-Mae admitted that it wasn’t an easy road getting there, telling viewers that she felt ‘triggered’ by moving into their home together.
Speaking during a therapy session, she said: ‘I’m triggered by this whole thing, the past, and the fact this isn’t the first time that I’ve moved.’
‘It was deep,’ she continued, opening up about the breakup. ‘The past does affect me. I’m an avoider, and I struggle to face things head-on.
‘My biggest trauma would be my breakup, which happened last year.’
She called therapy ‘out of [her] comfort zone’ and refused to finish the session on camera.
Molly-Mae was later seen navigating the ‘bittersweet’ move from the mansion where she, Tommy, and Bambi previously lived as a family.
As she was packing up her house, she said: ‘It’s all very, very overwhelming.
‘It is so sad leaving this behind. It’s incredibly sentimental to me.’
Late 2025 – Molly-Mae puts her ring back on
While she initially stated that she wanted some form of ‘gesture’ from Tommy before she started wearing her £600,000 engagement ring again, Molly-Mae seemingly changed her mind.
‘I noticed the other day you had your ring back on,’ Zoe pointed out in her reality show as they sat down for a last dinner before Zoe and her husband officially moved out.
‘Yeah, I have been wearing it a little bit,’ Molly-Mae replied.
Asked if she’s going to continue to do so, she added: ‘Yeah, I feel like I’m in a place where I want to wear it again.
‘We are fully back together, and, like, that’s a symbol of that.’
‘You’re not waiting for anything, are you?’, asked Zoe, to which Molly-Mae said she wasn’t.
February 5, 2026 – Molly-Mae announces her second pregnancy
On February 5, 2026, Molly-Mae confirmed that she is expecting her second child with Tommy, with firstborn Bambi thrilled at the thought of being a big sister.
‘Soon to be four’, she captioned an Insta video which debuted her growing bump.
The post also showed Tommy sweetly kissing Molly-Mae and cradling her belly, a beaming Bambi wearing some adorable ‘big sister’ knitwear.
Stacey Solomon, Rochelle Humes, Georgia Harrison, Zara McDermott, and Maura Higgins were among the stream of stars offering their congratulations after the announcement was made, writing sweet comments.
‘Can’t wait to see her be a big sis🥹🥹🥹’, added auntie Zoe, while Paris Fury praised: ‘Congratulations and you look amazing super mom and running her own empire 👏👏👏’
February 6, 2026 – Molly-Mae confirms she’s six months along
Shortly after, Molly-Mae revealed that she is actually six months along in her pregnancy, having been pregnant while walking at the L’Oréal fashion show in Paris last year, which she was totally unaware of.
‘Little baby with me in this moment… and I didn’t even know’, she wrote alongside a photo from the event, in which she wore a floor-length satin gown.
Molly-Mae walked the runway alongside the likes of Kendall Jenner in September 2025.
This means her second child with Tommy is likely to arrive in April.
